Paint Care Update:

On January 6, 2022, the NYS DEC issued conditional approval of PaintCare’s Paint Stewardship Program Plan and affirmed the May 1, 2022, program launch datePLEASE NOTE: DEC municipal grant funding for oil-based paint collection ends at that time.

CONTRACTING
For your HHW site(s)/event(s) to participate in the PaintCare program, a contract must be put in place with PaintCare to govern the collection of paint from the public at those site(s)/event(s). There are two types of contracts with PaintCare depending on who is responsible for handling/packing paint into boxes or drums at your HHW facility or HHW events. For more details on contracting options, please consult PaintCare’s factsheet available online at https://www.paintcare.org/wp-content/uploads/docs/xx-factsheet-contracting.pdf. PaintCare also held two webinars in 2021 to describe each contract option. The webinars are available online at www.paintcare.org/states/new-york/
